One of my all time heros, I wached a prog a few years ago covering his last ever concert tour, his illness was aready apparent at that time, I started watching thinking it would be a sad story, but for the most part he seemed so content and happy, in his world, and never happier than with a guitar in his hands.

The crowds, or me, never minded that he somtimes forgot the words, and his guitar duet of duelling banjos with his daughter Ashley will always be a classic for me.

I guess like most I'll be watching a lot of you tube videos over the next few days, always with the thought Glen Campbell is one for whom we can say his music will always live on

I remember seeing Glen on a talk show in the UK hosted by Michael Parkinson, round about the time that Rhinestone Cowboy was released. I wasn't playing guitar yet, but seeing him play some little bits & pieces as he was being interviewed was amazing... his fingers were like lightning. A fantastic musician and (from what everyone who met him says) a genuinely nice bloke. A sad loss, indeed.
