Thanks and apology of the eclecticism...and I would like buy a baroc luth ;)
an historic BUMP 1589: Thoinot Arbeau :

Have I not made there the oldest bump  of songcrafter? ;D
.
I made go back up here our friend THOINOT ARBEAU with a strut  (pavane) about of 1589.

the instrumental part is a Jig of my friend STEVE WARING,American guitarist, banjoist, folk singer  who lives in the east of LYON (France), in some kilometers from my home since the 70s...

It is by him that I discovered in 1970 that we called then in France  " the American guitar " (finguer picking)

And It is paradoxically English men!! (John RENBOURN and his group PENTANGLE) which made me discover this French medieval song: a Struts with 4 voices (Crosby Still Nash and Young did not invent the singing in 4 voices ;D

I made juste the two first verse because the song is too long for 7341 KB, may be , I would post the complete version one Soundclick later

thank you for listening guys and gals
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Now, this is REALLY splendid. Really.

Probably your best post till now, IMHO, because it sounds absolutely true, authentic.

Bravo Gianpiero!

That's very retro !  Very authentic sounding - just how you would imagine it would have sounded hundreds of years ago.

There was part of it which made me think of this:

thank you Alfredo for your comments, very appreciated...

And Yes,  Pete we have (beautiful) medieval song in all our old countries ;)

I like all the music!  (except may be rap...)

I would love playing  luth baroque (cf Sting, Josh Turner...)

Enjoyed this a lot. That perfect amount of reverb helps create the setting.
