"Are You Experienced?" by Jimi Hendrix - Band Recording Live in the Living Room

I have shied away from a band situation for a while now for a variety of reasons, but I think I have stumbled on the right combination of folks to have a go of it again.

This is the second night we got together over six weeks or so (like herding cats). I sprang the tune on them minutes before we played it (rather easy & repetitive parts), and this was a second take of two. You can here me bark the one chord change a few times. It was edited a bit to remove a few clams. I should fade it out sooner, but I let it go.

The feedback at the end of the backwards solo is the new Digitech FreqOut pedal. It allows you to get different intervals of feedback at whisper volumes. You can also dial out the dry signal to have an Ebow effect. Really, really cool pedal.

"Are You Experienced?" by Jimi Hendrix live in the living room (except for the piano over the first 15-20 seconds). That would be Lurker on vocals and EWC (a new member) on the clean guitar.

Brilliant .
Just read Lemmy from Motorheads biography and he recalled Hendrix going into his dressing room with about 5 girls and they all came out smiling one by one so I guess you could say he was indeed experienced.
Any way back to the track,it is superb ,love the guitar work,the drums ,bass and the vocal phrasing is brilliant .
Sounds like a cool band.

Well eff...me Blooby, Lurker and crew...this is such a cool cover of my favorite Hendrix song! The backwards solo was great and Lurker you nailed the phrasing on Jimi's singing/talking vocal. Nice work fellas....I want to hear some more!
