This is completely mad but we would of course expect no less from Geir  ;D I just love your off the wall (well, in the car) recording method. I often see people singing away in the car while driving, now I'll wonder of they are recording themselves on an MBR! At least you didn't record the guitar part while driving....

But it worked so well! This is really different and the guitar is great. The vox give it a completely unique feel, well done. You're one heck of a creative guy! ORH is right, there is a big slice of Can in there. Perhaps noodle soup from a Can....

Cheers,

Nigel

QuoteIt sounds like you are under water (bottom of the soup bowl?).
sounds like the bottom of a bong. hope you werent driving under the influence geir. something about this reminds me of can for some reason, maybe one of their ethic forgery series of songs from there early days.
I can assure you I was absolutely not DUI... I was on call in my job so I had a completely sober week.  :)

Didn't I? .... well - no I didn't.. I Started the recording before putting the car in motion and stopped the car before the MBR ....

I'm slightly embarrassed to say I'm not familiar with Can.  I'll try to look them up but imagine searching for can with google is a bit futile .... Can you  recommend any albums ?

Don't be embarrassed, you're probably not as old as me and ORH! Can were probably the most "out there" band from the late 60s/early 70s (although they have been going in various incarnations up to fairly recently). Very avant garde, hugely influential and some of their stuff is pretty challenging. But most of it is stunning and way ahead of its time. Check out:

and some of the related videos to get a feel for them. They did many great albums, I would recommend "Future Days" as an intro.

BTW, your inventive, off the wall style and openness to try really different things is just what Can did!

Cheers,

Nigel
