I've been itching for a real tele lately and have spent alot of time playing them all over Tampa. It came down to this MIM or a used American Standard for a few hundred more in a Tabacco sunburst with a white pickguuard. This one played better and we'll it looks amazing. Gonna be a great MET!

Yeah, I guess. I know nothing about pickups. It sounded good through the amp at Sam Ash. For me it's all about playability and feel.when I got my MIM Strat (maple fretboard ) I was amazed at how good it felt and played...butter I say. However, while trying out Telecasters I couldn't stand the maple fretboards at all. It knocked all of the (available locally) Thinline semi hollows out, which is what I really wanted to love...hated playing it. After a few stores I figured out the rosewood fretboard was the way for me and the Tele. I didn't want to spend 4 digits in a guitar so I went with the MIM. Can't wait to test it out with Launched!

That's interesting to me because I am a devout maple neck guy for Fenders.

A Tele with buckers that should sound nice-n-fat. I am drawn more to the maples myself, but then it's really what comes down to feeling right in play-ability. Although, most all my Instruments have rosewood fingerboards except maybe 2 of them (Tele & Strat).

I am gonna miss making this MET as it would be my first. Have fun!
