"Better Man" Hooks v4 for 1SongFest (5/4-Merlin)

Wanted to do a different time signature from the beginning but just now found my way into it. Captured this LITLR this morning on my back porch with the BR80 and my Merlin. I think I lost the 5/4 once or twice but I think it's cool.

It's a dark song and difficult to put a happy / upbeat slant on, but I think you've come damn close with this, Hook.

I'm guessing this a live-in-the-car(?) take, so big kudos for having the skills to pull it off with the time signature.

I thought I'd slayed the Better-Man dragon already, this may have inspired me to have one more stab, so to speak.

Wow, that's amazingly awesome in 5/4. I'm not sure you "lost" it so much as in two places you have an abbreviated count that works really, really well. It sounds so natural. You had me tapping my toes and then you had me counting and then you had me sitting back and listening.
