Of late i have had little or no time (by my usual standards)for music, listening or playing. so apologies for my absences. for those awaiting my contributions to various songs apologies too, but over sore throat now, so no excuses except for work commitments. (bah humbug!).

Anyway for the past few days i've been twiddling about with my ipad using my korg nanokey 2 as an interface and keyboard. anyway most of the music was created on the ipad by these means, then transferred to my br800 where i then added some lead guitar on my jasmine electro acoustic, and a lead vocal and backing vocals.

anyway it is what it is.

it seems they only listen
to what they want to hear
thoughts taken out of context
regurgitated
ad nauseam
half truths and lies repeated
until they become fact
the truth is only noticed
by it's absence
you can't read between the lines
when you only see one side
of the argument
you can't reason with the blind
when they only see one side
of the argument
when you're in an echo chamber
and you're singing with one voice
it takes only one stranger
to break up the party
there's two sides to every coin
and a million shades of grey
are you sitting on the fence
or are you staying or leaving

These tools are serving you very well - totally digging this. Love these full-blown productions of yours, and this is another great example.

I can likes this!

That pleasingly full backing fits nicely with your distinctive low-key vocals. The backing vocals add the icing to the cake.

The lyrics mesh well with the tune. Near the end I like the tension of the repeated opening lyrics (up an octave) against the bass.

Hopefully you'll have time to write and produce more like this. You have a distinctive style, both in writing and singing, and it's one I thoroughly enjoy.
Dueling BR1600s. Beats banjos.

Brilliant james, this is top notch,I loved it from the minute your lyrics crept in and they are bloody good lyrics too.

This is super clean bud, an incredible tune! The guitar work is really good, and I love the vox big time, "It only takes one stranger to break up the party" was a brilliant line.

Love it!

If I get time today, I will do a remix without lead guitars and post it as a "challenge " . In the old days here someone would post a backing track and challenge guitarists to do a lead guitar over it. And numerous members would post their take on the challenge.
Not sure if many would be up for it, but hey let's see.
