That's a cool tribute to the purple one, different but I like that, kinda Lou Reed feel, didn't think that would ever work but it does, great listen! !

Great tribute to Prince - I really dig the sound of the guitars and your vocals - lots of rock and raunch!

Love the way you've re-worked this. A great interpretation, mate. Excellent "raw" vibe... I agree with the Lou Reed comparison, but I also hear a little Ian Hunter in there too. Marvelous!

Very cool take, I can hear the Ian Hunter too. This one always makes my playlist when I get the odd cover gig, made my own attempt at a recording here https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=17167.0 ;)
Love the edge and power you brought to this.
Rock on!

Excellent take on this, getting the big Ian Hunter comparison too. Lovely rocky version in your own style.

I think this was the first Prince song I heard.  Excellent cover, Pete, and quick turnaround too.

Nice one

A great version Pete!  At the risk of saying the same as everybody else   - there is a hint of Mr Hunter which is no bad thing in my opinion.

Really enjoyed this.

There's some nice vocal phrasing in there. Enjoyed this take on it. I get the Reed & Hunter references, but ultimately, you made this tune your own. Very cool.
