I had 30 min. of somewhat quiet at the dinner table last night. Grabbed my Cuban Tres and wrote & recorded this. LITLR, BR80...you know the routine.

You Ever
written & performed by Hook
Didn't you ever wonder why
or am I the only one torn up inside
from these arguments that I hide
in the deepest part of my heart and mind

Haven't you ever known the truth
or has truth always eluded you
and will we all just become victims
Of what is thought to be the truth

Couldn't you ever see past
this mountain of fault that I wear
Burdensome like a cast
& one day I hope to find
a pencil long enough
to scratch this itch
deep within my brain
before I go insane

I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

Inspired brother - great use of some quiet time. Loved the lyrics on this tune, and that Tres has a wicked sound.
