Well I sat there drinking whisky in the morning
When I should have been out working anyway
Guess I'll have to go fetch another bottle
'Cos somehow life's got in my way

And I'll just sit here 'til I aint hurting
And everything around me drifts away
I got so tired of all your flirting
And somehow life's got in my way

There were times when you knew that I was watching
It made you laugh when I just walked away
Should have stopped you right at the beginning
But somehow life's got in my way

Inst

And I'll just sit here 'til I aint hurting
And everything around me drifts away
I got so tired of all your flirting
And somehow life's got in my way

The doors are locked the shutters bolted
You've had your fun and now you gotta pay
Guess I'll have to go fetch another bottle
'Cos somehow life's got in my way

A great song, Willie.   Life does get in the way sometimes!

Classy jingle-jangles from that Jazzmaster.

The first Fender I ever played was a Jazzmaster.  I was still at school and I hassled my dad to buy me an amplifier to go with my bright red Hofner Galaxie.  He took me to Macari's in Charring Cross Road and  old Larry Macari put a Jazzmaster in my hands to try out a few amps.  I've been a Fender man ever since.

What a great sounding guitar Willie. It's so clear and has such presence in the mix. A good song to boot....country rock has a special place in my listening repertoire and this hits the spot!

That's a great song Willie. Lovely, hits the spot. Your voice is just right for this style. I also like the the lead lines on the guitar (in my right ear). Lovely stuff!
