Here's the original recording of this song.  I submitted a version a while ago in duet form with Judy ONeil. This version is me singing only. The solos still need to be added and I will remove this and the previous duet version once I have added all the other tracks to this version.

                                                       DO I EVER - ©Andy Dursley 2015

Do I ever cross your mind in your quiet times,
If only for a fleeting second or two.
I'd like to think I cross your mind maybe sometimes,
If only just as much as I do of you.
==========
Your image in my mind is slowly fading,
thoughts of you now mostly monochrome.
that doesn't stop the futile craving,
For moments spent just you and me alone.
==========
I'll never understand time and its questions
Leaves me feeling hazy. confused
My ever constant nagging need is to ponder,
Not my choice it seems, to choose.
==========
You're living in my mind in the corner
Somewhere deep hiding in the grey
Like so much cloudy ,murky water
spinning around in constant replay

Chorus

I know i would give anything,
sell my very soul to you know who,
To see that secret smile
The one that drove me wild ( 3 times on descending chords)

guitar/piano solo over verse length

repeat chorus

Possible 3rd verse
If only I could stop my mind in my quiet times
If only for a fleeting second or two
I'd like to switch off my mind maybe sometimes
maybe its the same problem for you

Your living in my mind in the corner
Somewhere deep hiding in the grey
Like so much cloudy ,murky water
spinning around in total/constant replay

I know i would give anything,
sell my very soul to you know who,
To see that secret smile
The one that drove me wild ( 3 times on descending chords)

end

WOW!

Very laid back track!

I like the chord progression; gentle jazz/bossanova vibe! Your voice is very good, too!

Great song.

I was a getting a Dan Hicks vibe with this.

I like the stripped back nature of the recording. If it works like this, then you know you have nailed it.

Really great stuff Andy. Very well performed but the song itself is a winner.
