We do this tune as well (usually medleyed with "Whipping Post" for some reason). This is flippin' great although I admit I was looking forward to the definitive ukulele version. You are really selling it in the 2nd half.  Damn, you really pick up a head of vocal steam.

Ive  got really good memories of this song as a kid, very vivid happy  memories of Christmas.
It just goes to show you how these things are locked into the vaults of your mind as a child and how important it is to create a great childhood for our children to grow up with(if possible) and create some great memories for them to carry on through their life and pass on to their children.
something as cool as a song or piece of music can jolt all types of memories and this has done it to me
