I agree, one of the saddest songs of all time.  I can't listen at work either, not because I'm not allowed but because I'm worried about the effect it will have on me!

I listened to the first few bars and I can tell you've done a great job with it.

Aww... that's an excellent version

I find it's one of those songs (McCartney's Long and Winding Road is another) that can really easily turn into a boring moaning/whining dirge... (that's what it sounds like when I do it!! ) ... but you've really pulled this one off.
