Slipping

[BAG]

This is a bit of a song of Jeff Lang's that i have butchered (there's no way I'll ever be able to play his stuff properly) but I've enjoyed playing it for a few years. I seem to play the middle part different every time but this is what turned out today.

It's just a single guitar in one take.

I used the little Sony external mic and on that song used my Cort (Earth 100F model).

That's a big ask as my voice is REALLY bad. This will take some time (and a leap into the unknown.......and a lot of help from effects ) but i may take the challenge.

Excellent job BAG, never heard this song, but your tone & playing is NICE! You're the reason I picked up that Sony mic~ Hopefully, I'll get some recordings that sound as tight as this... Did you use any MIC effects, ect... because this sounds beautiful!!

Thanks so much folks. I'm extremely humbled by the responses i have gotten on this site, particularly from some very accomplished musos.

Kody, the only effects are reverb (about 30) and the "Live" effect for mastering. As mentioned before, i have the MBR sitting on my knee only a few inches from the sound hole. I tried having it further away but the sound is nowhere near as good.

Mr Admin, as an aside, i happened to accidently log on as a guest and directly below the MP3 player for the song at the start of this thread there is a Google ad for a guitar tuition site which asks in BOLD lettering

"Suck at Guitar?"
