This is for Robbie Burns (Facemask 93), who produced a stunning version of this song a few years ago here

I would like to tell a quick story - I had in mind to cover this song, as one of the Who's greatest, when Robbie posted his version, and when I heard it, I knew he had completely nailed it and I should stay well clear!
As a matter of fact..

Anyway..wherever you may be, rest easy Rob

This is fab Andy, its one of the few songs from the Who that I really like, and Rob's version still pops in my head to this day, especially if I hear the original.

This was always going to be safe in your hands, and its a beauty, in fact your anthemic style just naturally adds a little extra sparkle to it.

Good stuff my man!

I still get tears in my eyes listening to Rob's version of this, still wishing I'd had a chance to play this together with him. This is one of my all time favourite songs, and Rob's version is still getting quite a bit of airtime in my world. So it was with caution I pressed play on this one .......

But .... WOW ... You really did a FABULOUS version Andy !!!! Your voice is so expressive and you're such a great musician .... you really nailed this !!!

A big WOW from the coasts of Telemark !!!!

Thanks fellas, you are very kind! I am thinking I should have double tracked the verses & chorus', but pretty happy with it, though not a touch on Robs version

This is amazing, Andy. I love the totally authentic and subtle way you put it across, so no need to even think about comparisons. Although I know exactly what you mean - Rob and I both did a cover of 'Jennifer' by Bert Sommer, and his totally blew mine away.

You did an incredible job with this, and Rob would have agreed.

Fabulous Andy, it has a slight rawness which is so fitting for this song.   Willie

I meant to comment on this a while ago like other songs but it's been hard for time to do it lately but this is one of my favorite Who songs and you did an amazing job Andy. I love the vocals!!

So glad you kicked It into high gear at the end too!! Super cover!
