It's absolutely magnificent !!! Not many could take on this great song (yeah I have to admit it tho he's my grey haired baby brother ). But you've done a fabulous version of it. Recreating it, but so true to the original. This must have taken quite a bit time !!!

The way you have changed the time signature at the beginning to 7/8

To be honest that's what got me started in doing this.  When was listening to your original I was hearing it in 7/8 (I'm a bit weird in that I tend to hear music in strange timings) and I got a bit obsessed with how it would sound.

I worked on the backer in GB for ages and it all felt flat.  Then on Friday I added the Alchemy parts then the guitar and vocal in the evening and it came together.  I was a bit disappointed it only ended up at 2 and a half minutes, I thought it would be longer.  No matter.

I'm pleased you're happy with it and I had a lot of fun making it.

I'm still a little unhappy with it only being two and a half minutes long. I'd like to get it four minutes more befitting a prog epic.  I'm working on a version two.

I'm still obsessing about Jarle's song.  I said earlier I wasn't happy that it was only around two and a half minutes long.  Since then I've been growing it organically to it's current size, nearly double what it was.

I will admit there is a bit missing which I just haven't had an opportunity to do, although part of the reason for that is that I don't have it clear in my head what it is and how I want to do it.  No matter.

I'm hoping now this is posted I may be able to move on
