a wee song came to me on my £10 acoustic so i recorded it on my micro br live in the living room before it left me.

well the devil took me
when i sold my soul
for fame and fortune
and a bag of gold
all the things
i could ever want
but he never mentioned love
well i was happy
for a little while
oh i lived the high life
yeah i lived in style
i had all the things
i could ever want
but i never fell in love
god forgive me
for all my sins
for all the things
that i have done
i know i've no one
but myself to blame
and i know that i am
never gonna change
without love
i don't know how
i'm gonna carry on
i gotta heavy heart
and it weighs me down
well the devil took me
when i sold my soul
but he never mentioned love

i thought i'd have a go at this on the br800, i think i made every mistake in the book whilst recording, so i'll put this one down to a learning experience.  ;D ;D

Great laid back tune!  Luv the muscica and vocals & lyrics, very dreamy!

I hit play and immediately thought that the quality of the recording was good. As is all of your posts, it seems. Then I read that it is LitLR and almost can't believe it. You've got a good sound here.
I listened to the full mix and I think it's good, but I have to admit I think i prefer the original guitar/vox version. It just seems more intimate.

I really enjoyed this. Great song. I think I have to agree with T.C. This time I prefer the intimacy of the original.

You've got familiar with BR-800 very well! Here's so bright and full tones from start to finish! Very enjoyable listening!
