I like how the two guitar parts play off each other and you get a great tone out of the guitars.
Very nice peaceful flow to this.

How are you recording those guitar parts?  What mic / setup?

They sound great whichever way it is...

So Nick - this is three stereo tracks recording the Brook Taw. Mike is the large condenser SE 2200T (Tube Mike), into an impedance matching transformer (low to high), into the Kemper. The Kemper is being used as an effects processor here, so no amp profiling happening. The Kemper is Stereo out, and adds compression (a lesson for me how much you need compression when recording an acoustic), and stereo reverb. I think there is a stereo widening effect on the base finger picked track. Kemper straight into the BR1600. Finger picked is panned in the middle, the two melodies are stereo planned slightly left and right. Mastered on the BR1600.

With compression, you are record at some distance without losing body, so probably 2 feet away from the mike. The problem with compression is that is brings out any choked notes, or poor fingering, or fret slide. Ho-hum.

I think that's about it.
