Lovely Bruno ,I'll take the advice on the compression and try it out on a few recordings.
I'm going to do a few back to basics songs. I.e one acoustic guitar and vocal.
This has put me in the mood.

Nick - Brook guitars should carry a health warning, they cause GAS like no other. I have two, the Taw used on this recording, and the TAVY built to spec (https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=14859.0). They are seriously the craziest company ever, and I love 'em to bits. They make less than 100 per year, only a 4 man team, but it is an experience like no other. In the middle of no where, and every guitar is unique.  

If you scroll down the comments, I've posted some pictures of the Taw on this. The Taw is actually a smaller bodied acoustic, where as the TAVY is a bigger beast. The Taw is easier for finger picking.
