The Battle for Tyrell's Pass.
Its over sixty years ago today But my mind's as clear as glass
When me and the boys we held out for hours
At the Battle for Tyrell's Pass
I look back and smile at the bravery of those young boys
But very few remember that fateful day And the Battle for Tyrell's Pass
Now there were just the four of us Surrounded by the enemy
There was Tony Billy Fred  And there was little ole' me
We were understrength and under armed But as brave hearted as could be
And we fought like Trojans   At Tyrell's Pass that day
Well we ran for cover and watched each other Fight off the enemy
We were doing well till Billy fell into a bramble bush
Well he screamed and roared rolled round in the grass
Shouting for his mamma running screaming down the road
Leaving the three of us to defend Tyrell's Pass
Now Tony me and Fred fought on We had tears in our eyes
We just could'nt stop from laughing Really that was no surprise
Everytime we thought of Billy Running home to mamma with a big thorn up his ass
We sniggered and grinned and we fought on That day at Tyrell's Pass
Now Tony made a heroic stand and gallantly fell that day
He stood with his head held high and we heard him say
He fired off the last of his ammo and his water pistol it ran dry
I'm gonna die like a hero
At the Battle of Tyrell's Pass
So me and Fred fought on that day and defended Tyrell's Pass
No sign of Billy coming back
Maybe his mamma could'nt get the thorn out of his ass
Well the battle raged for hours that day
we really did well and held the enemy back
it was a long time since we'd had that much fun and we swore we would go back

I love this.

Nice sound and it captures the sentiment really well.

As a kid, I used to have battles with friends in an old creek bed. We'd throw clods of dry dirt at each other. Of course it was not going to hurt if someone got one in the head or the eye  :-/ Somehow no-one got seriously hurt.
