Well, I was in the mood to play along with this backer tonight.  Here is my version.  Used my Strat, left it clean, just because I love playing that strat so much (especially clean amp settings).  I moved the pickup selector around while playing for fun.  A few muck-ups, but thats blues :D.  Great fun for sure.  Comments please.

Brilliant, I would hate to be a judge and have to determine the best. No Way you are all so great.

God I love the sound of a strat being played properly!
Well done Bluesberry.
The tone was great! you were wise to keep it clean...

nothing is real... So theres nothing to get hung about!

tafka

wow hot licks!
i agree with LG clean tone works great with this style of playing.
any overdrive on this would end up as a mush.
and what an ending.
great post.

I really loved the Strat and there are some wicked licks in there and as Tony said Boss ending!

It's been a bluesy few days. I'm not complaining though! This is just fabulous. I love those clean tones - it gives this backer a really authentic, vintage vibe. But as we know already, playing clean takes great skill, so you really nailed this. And the ending is just great... skill and confidence!

Very nice job. I quite like this backer but it does go on a bit. So I'm amazed you can solo for so long and keep it interesting. Great ending as well - definitely a nice Strat sound.

Cheers,

Nigel

As I was playing along I was thinking the same thing, man this backer goes on forever.  That is the challenge of playing over these backers, to have the stamina to keep on going without stopping, and to try not to repeat yourself too much. There is definately a bit of effort that goes into these thats for sure.  When I get into the middle of one of these its like I am on a little trip, I know where I came from, and where I am at, I am looking forward a little but not really sure where I will end up as I go, very interesting experience to just let go of all thoughts and play for 4 minutes straight.  I really get a lot out of doing these backers.  Thanks for that comment Ferryman. Thanks everybody for the great comments.
