I've just bought a new soprano ukulele so this was by way of trying it out. It's tuned ADF#B - a tone higher than the standard GCEA which makes the tone a little brighter.

Dimming of the Day
Composed by: Richard Thompson
Performed by: Geoff Walker, vocal & soprano ukulele
Recorded on TASCAM DP-006

I'm finding the Tascam very good for simple acoustic recordings. It is quick and easy to set up. It has a socket for a camera tripod so I just mount it on my camera tripod and use the built in mics which I find are pretty good..

The lack of built in effects is not a problem and I do a little post processing in Audacity. Usually a touch of reverb to give the sound a little more "life" and some compression to iron out the worst peaks. I don't really find any need for anything else.
