No Matter How Pure
written & performed by Hook
Not quite whole often invisible
Not quite real somewhere in between aquamarine and teal
Not quite sure is frustrating
no matter how pure

Not quite perfect I know I'll never be
Not quite comfortable, comforts not for me
Not quite accomplished is frustrating
No matter how pure

Not quite safe could we dare to dream
Not quite convinced dreams bring safety
Not quite certain there will ever be a cure
It's frustrating no matter how pure

Glad to be first again on commenting. liked it all the way . very pleasant
vocals and lyrics. that uke was well played. all of your songs are
a pleasure to hear. keep rocking and keep sharing NEIL.!

Greeny

This is a beauty. Builds so nicely, and has a really dreamy, summery vibe. The purity and clarity of your vocal is perfect too. And those little lead uke breaks over the descending chords, and those harmonies - ooh! Love it. One of your very best, IMO.

Tangled Wires

This is a winner in my book and drifts over you like a gentle wave.

That vocal melody is great and is so crystal clear and wonderfully delivered over that delicate Uke backdrop, and some real nice variation is created when the percussion kicks in.

You got some quality inspiration at the moment!

So I'm counting this out in 8. Am I just an idiot and can't count in four twice or is this really in 8? It almost HAS to be in 8 for it to work  properly. That's crazy.

I love the sound of your song and your vocals work very well. When the drums first came in (or cymbals, really) I thought it sounded great. I like the phrasing and as already mentioned the rhythm/timing is very interesting, at least to me.

I really love the lyrics you chose for this recording, especially that last section. A song I can relate to and your work came together beautifully.

Like the lyrics, you are telling us slowly but surely your story, a dreamy atmosphere, through the chord progression and your sweet voice and harmonies
Love also the little lines of the uke lead

A beauty, great inspiration
