Boiled water in the cup
Leave the tea to brew a while
Squeeze the bag to make it strong
Toss the lemon in
Head back up the stairs
There's a smile on your face
Hold the handle towards you
Kick my slippers off

It's coffee in our house... and no "handle towards you" business (nor smiles!) - she's still asleep usually... I do get that kick the slippers off thing tho... (And then I switch Planet Rock on to wake her up!! )

Great confidence in the guitar strumming, more 'on it'. Nice little song, a ritual I know too well. Radio 4 in the mornings and then 6Music the rest of the time. I love 6Music...

Nice strumming on that £10 acoustic guitar, Jim…I even like the reverb on it. Simple, yet rich. Nice vocal delivery too…but please tell me nobody really puts a slice of lemon in their coffee.

actually mrs orh doesn't even have lemon in her tea,

but she does have lemon in a cup of hot water.

that's what i usually make her in the morning but like i said i used poetic licence,

oh and i only scratched my head cos it rhymed, poetic licence, guess what i really scratch??
