So I often think I must have a slight intonation issue on my bass or my uke. I think it's ocassionally evident mostly when I use my real bass.So with that said I'm unsure of the bass part, the root note at the start of the verses really bugs me. The bass & trombone are thumbjam , the rest is...real kinda. DrinkFest is a great example of why I dig songcrafters so much. I didn't vote for it, wasn't excited about yet it's now inspired 2 completed (if your forgiving) tunes, a 3rd in the works & a suggestion on a cover I'm psyched about.
FEST ON!

1 delayed uke
1 flanger or maybe phaser uke I don't remember
1 drums (YDD60 + dd35)
1 auxillary percussion (YDD60)
1 bass (TJ)
1 trombone (TJ)
1 vocal

It's The Drink Not Me
written & performed by Hook

When I drink it seems just like
the world's not made of ice
and I'm comfortable
Soaking up the sun

I might stumble and I might fall
There's a chance i Might not make any sense at all
It's the drink not me

when I drink it seems just like
My life's a cartoon and I'm that crazy mouse
And I taunt and tease you
Make you chase me around the house

I might mumble
But when I need be sure all call
There's a good chance I might not make any sense at all
It's the drinks not me

Take my keys
Take my responsibility
Take away from me my ability to speak
Take all I love take who I am
Let me waste just leave me a taste

When I drink it seems just like
I check out and disappear for a while
Somewhere comfortable
Soaking up the sun

I love that trombone and the overall slow pace of the song contrasting against the faster drumming and ukes. It makes me feel all woozy. :)

Love that 'drunken' trombone - am feeling a little like that at the mo. A couple of glasses of red - and we are off down the pub (the Swan - I showed you the picture of). We are walking :)

Great song Bro, I feel inspired for a few beers :)
