We wuz all wearing platform shoes for this one...

Here we are, better late than never with a Slade cover for Yulefest. 64Guitars got it all going with the idea to do it and a fantastic drum track he made in Hydrogen, plus all guitars and piano. Oldrottenhead added some excellent vocal tracks (very Noddy!), I added my harmonium, jingle bells, and backing vocals, and Flash Harry returned from the Land of Oz to top it all off with a superb bass track. A rocking good time was had by all. 

That's oldrottenhead, 64Guitars, and me with a Christmas greeting at the beginning. Production was a group effort - everything was recorded on Boss BR recorders, and final-mixed and mastered in Audition CC.

Lovely version by The Admiz!!! One of the all time xmas song favourites of mine!

Sweet vocals and harmonies! The bass line is awesome - nice tones and cool playing! So are the guitars, too. There has been sure a lots of work with drum/percussion/jingle bells track! Really fine job 64 and Cuth! Sounds almost like a real drummer is playing on this!

Every instrument can be heard very clearly! So, this has been produced professionally, too.

Enjoyable listening gents!! And yes....more please!

Yep, wicked stuff. As has been pointed out, this is a very pro recording and performances. ORH, Flash and good ol' cuthbert are on the money as always but I wanna make a special point of 64Guitars, er, guitars. Really frickin' well played and well produced. Every note of every string is perfectly audible and even.
   I've had this 'mini-rant' before, but Slade are one of the most mis-understood bands. Everyone goes on about the Glam Rock thing, but they were waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than some of that shit. I think I'm correct in stating that they had the same amount of number one singles in the UK as ABBA in the 70's, and were only a couple of hits behind The Beatles.

         Recently, in the UK at least, this song was used in an ad by Google....

Yeah - you can't beat this as an Xmas tune, I never tire of listening to it over the festive season, always my fave as a kid and its kind of stuck with me.
