Put this one together last night
just seemed to fall into place

Now all the guys loved Kitty She was  fair tall and pretty
She worked in the local bar 3 nights a week
Well she would brighten up a dark weary day
And all the people would say
Hey Kitty will you sing –"Stand by your man"(with the band)

Now the only thing about Kitty Who was tall fair haired and pretty
Her voice sounded like a banshee's wail
The band would call upon Kitty Who was tall fair haired and pretty
Upon the stage to sing a song or two
Now those brave enough to sit and listen Would shout holler and whistle
And call on Kitty to sing "Stand by your man"
So Kitty would stop serving beer and grinning from ear to ear
She would introduce her first song
Now dedicated to her man –his name was Dan
Now Dan was short fat and grumpy his nose was large flat and lump
It covered most of his face but it seemed really out of place
To all those guys who were standin outside the door

Tons of fun…hey, there's a song idea for you!

I enjoyed this a lot, Tommy…always have liked 'story' songs, and this one's funny to boot. Could have been a sad story, and that would have been okay by me as well.
