Thank you Tony, T-man, LG.  This was my first "big" production on the microBR.  I learned a lot from this one.  I picked one of my favorite songs and decided to make it as good as I could.  Doing this song was like a microBR production course.  I really like the way it came out.  This also was the first song where I felt good about my singing.  It was a watershed song for me, a step up to the next level.  Thanks for the listen and comments and bump guys.

I just checked through the comments and it looks like I put this on the PiePod May 13, 2009, almost a year ago. I usually clean it out every so often and put new stuff on, but this one always made the cut - I love it. One of my faves of yours, Dave.

A great arrangement that stands the test of time!

Glad this got bumped :)

It's one of my favourite Jethro Tull songs as well (and I'm equally glad the Hotel California thing got put right as well... You've probably got the same 25th/30th anniversary tour program that I read it in :D)

And excellent wah work. It's not too difficult to use one at first... but then to make it sound like this, over that long a take, takes a fair bit of practice...

I gotta make a confession, I fired up this song, and immediately went to the acoustic for my own little accompaniment. I didn't read the thread, I just started playing. The more I got into it, the more I realized that I could have played the same lead on Hotel California.

I mentioned it to launched while I was listening to the song, he said.... read the thread...

Hotel California was my favorite song for at least 25 years, and I never had a clue. Remember the day when you realized Santa wasn't real, or that you were too old to "trick or treat"?

Yeah, I read you. I felt the same way when I found out how Nirvana ripped off Killing Joke. Sometimes you just can't believe in coincidences...

This is a fantastic version BB. Wow that lead is singing !! Love the Wah. Superb vox. Jethro Tull are one of my all time fav bands. Ian Anderson is a genius. I saw them in about 1995 and Ian told us about the Eagles before they played this track. It says so much about the man that he never took them to court for thier blatant rip off. But we know who really wrote the chord progression for Hotel California  ;D ;D ;D Awesome recording BB
