So this is the 2nd tune I wrote right after getting the new uke. It started in Tampaska style with a drum track I made in Garage bands smart drums, both manipulating the grid and rolling the dice for a random change. Then I wrote the progression with the GB's smart piano using the electric piano. Then I put the rest. I had most of the track 2 weeks ago. Just did vocals yesterday and the sax part a few minutes ago. I've made some setting changes in switch so hopefully this one works.
1 drum track (GB stereo)
1 electric piano (GB stereo)
1 clean uke
1 chorusy delayed uke
1 distorted uke
1 bass
1 tenor sax (TJ)
2 vocals

Permanent Damage
written & performed by Hook
Could it be possible that I could possibly see?
Movement in the air where there's no movement to be seen
It could be that I've slipped into something
Quite different than reality

Did I do Permanent Damage?
Did I cut some cord or maybe clip a nerve
So much self-abuse it's truly absurd

Could it be that I have actually phased
Into the grain of these hard wood floors
It could be I sense its  age, feel the rings
& know exactly where it's been tread upon & worn

Chorus

Could it be that I am trapped
Within a revolution spinning like a record
Spinning like a top, spinning like some
Dumbass dog chasing tail

Chorus

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

Crikey 3 uke's! Loved that chorus young man! Some lovely playing going on and it still amazes me how you can use GB and TJ with such great results

Nice song and a great production. The use of the three different ukes creates an interesting sound.

This is the top Hook.  I love these lyrics.  Another in your crooner psych rock series.  I love this stye of yours, on display perfectly here.  This is a very cool original style.  If somebody said....what does a Hook song sound like....I would point to this one......one of the best of the lot.......this is a Hook song, and why we all love Hook songs........funky even..........funky crooner psych rock.....go man go.   That sax throws it all back to the 80's for a moment...........This is the goods Hook.
