Disappointed - Morrissey Cover

Here's a cover of the Morrissey song Disappointed.  Morrissey is (of course) the singer and lyricist of the Smiths - I figure if Mark Knopfler solo tracks qualify...

In fact I recorded the guitar parts around a year ago, wasn't happy with them and never finished the project.  With the wife and new daughter still in hospital I had a little time in the evenings to complete.  Quite happy with the vocal performance.  The drum track was played freehand rather than programmed.

Nice job with this tune. I lost interest in Morrisseys solo stuff, his guitar player/songwriter partner really just didn't excite me much. I do remember this tune and liking it and I really enjoyed your version!

I lost interest in the solo work too. I didn't like Suedehead at all nor the later albums much. But I did like Bona Drag and played a lot in the nineties.

What I didn't realise till yesterday was that Morrissey was stand in vocalist in Slaughter and the Dogs for a while in 1978. Love to have seen that - him handling Cranked Up Really High or Boston Babies.

Can't say I'm familiar with much of Morrissey's stuff, but this does ring a distant bell somewhere in the back of my head. Great cover, mate. Bravo!
