Loving my new BR-800

I just got the BR-800 about 2 weeks ago and I really love how easy it is to use.  I never owned any boss or other brand portable multi-track before but I have used computer based recording software with external sound cards so I was very familiar with the concept.

I have been able to record a few simple guitar and vocal songs plus I can add percussion either live or with the built in rhythm, but I haven't done anything other than testing in that area.  I do love the built in metronome though -  ;D

I just did a rough and dirty version of Pink Floyd's wish you were here with 12 string, vocals, electric guitar and bass and I am happy with how nice the rough cut came out.  Maybe I'll post it here once I figure out how> lol!

Glad to be on board here and able to learn from the "old  timers" who have owned Boss BR's before.

Welcome, I have gotten so used to using my Boss machines, I can't even get it together to record on a computer at all.  These machines are so stable and intuitive once you get used to them.  For that quick, get in, record, get out, these machines can't be beat.  And that is about the only kind of recording I can do these days, just no time for fussing around.  You can make some pretty stellar sounding demos with these little beasts, as you will hear many examples posted on here.  I can't wait to hear what you come up with.

Okay, let's see if this works...

As I said it's a rough cut... Also the bass comes in a little later than in the original song and very rough in the end because I got lazy on the guitar and bass but it served its purpose to test the multitracking ability and clarity of recording.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks so much.  I haven't shared a lot publically because it's been so hard with the recording software/equipment I've had in the past but this machine makes it sooo easy!

I really appreciate your compliment alot.

Thanks for all the encouragement!  I am continuing to squeeze little bits of time in here and there to work on the BR-800.  I'll probably throw a beatles tune together next and put it up here when I get done.  Might be guitar(s) and vocal only though.  We'll see.
