"Standing In The Road" by Blackfoot Sue was a #4 hit single in the U.K. in 1972. This is my first collab with henwrench who did a great job on the vocals. Thanks henny!

I'm standing in the road
A man without a home
My friends all pass me by and never say a word
I'm feeling so alone
And all the things I've known
Just seem to disappear and never reappear

I feel the rain and cold
My clothes have all been sold
And all my shouts for help just seem to go unheard
I'm a just a lonely man
Won't someone lend a hand
Don't leave me on my own just standing in the road

I'm standing in the road
A man without a home
My friends all pass me by and never say a word
I'm feeling so alone
And all the things I've known
Just seem to disappear and never reappear

Love the crunchy guitars. Awesome sound going down. A really great recording and vocal. Never heard of the band or song but I'm diggin' the 70's vibe.

Redler

Never heard the original. Sounds very 70's (of course :)  ). Nice playing and performing! Top class production, too! The drum track is fantastic!

Oh yeah! Sweet lead work Mr 64, and a perfectly henwrenched vocal. A cool and perfect choice of guest singer. Beautifully produced and just a joy to listen to.

Excellent work guys !! Great work on those hydrogen drums, the sound so real.  Great guitarwork as well. And that voice is just right for this song!!

Well done !

I listened to this as soon as i woke up this morning. I don`t know this tune but that intro is freakin wicked.

Damn 64 your whole music on this is good. The drums and bass sound a perfect groove to this. But i love the guitar the most..Why of course i do. Henny these are the best vocals by you but just my opinion. Great collab!!

Thanks for the comments everyone. For those who don't know the original, here it is:

By the way, this song has the easiest bass guitar part I've ever found. It's just an E played on the A string at the 7th fret. It doesn't even follow an interesting rhythmic pattern. Instead, it starts out as quarter notes for the first six measures, then switches to eighth notes for the entire remainder of the song. The bass player was the lead singer on this one and I guess he couldn't play more than one note and sing at the same time. :)
