The Studio-Capture is $999.00 US at Sweetwater.

I can't see it being a big seller. I don't think many people will be able to justify spending a grand on an audio interface.

Pedal prices:

TE-2: $179.00

MO-2: $159.00

DA-2: $129.00

No thanks. Not for my budget. You'd think with the current economy they'd be concentrating on low-end affordable products instead of a $1000 audio interface and an almost $200 echo pedal. ::)

Seems to be a re-packaging of the V-Studio 700, which was a dud sales-wise.  It's got some great features (12 pres, midi, digital I/O, compressor etc). But yeah, it's going to be a tough sell: too expensive for the home studio crowd, not quite cool enough for a pro studio. It doesn't mention the ability to daisy chain 2 together (unless I missed that) so that severely limits it.

Yes, you can chain two together (if you have $2K burning a hole in your pocket).

That's a funny picture:  32 inputs/ 20 outs for a bedroom studio. ;D

I know. It's ridiculous. You'd have to be quite wealthy to justify that expense just for a bedroom studio.

Toward the end of this video (2:22), he says "For recording engineers who want to record several instruments at once, or musicians who want to record live performances or keep all their gear connected directly to the dock".

Who's going to spend a grand just so they don't have to unplug a few cables now and then?  :D

Quote from: chip on January 21, 2013, 12:04:37 PMI Wonder when/if someone will  write and record a whole best selling album/song including all the musical parts on a mobile phone without any physical instruments. Hopefully never.

Don't tell me they already have :'(

Pretty much, yes.

Damon Albarn did the last Gorillaz album entirely in Garageband on an iPad... !

It appears that Boss has been stumbling and fumbling to produce something that fits in the AWESOME category.

Same-old-shit-in-a-new-box comes to mind.

I want a robot that can play six instruments simultaneously. And record it all in real time.

I'm using quad - capture for my tracks and I'm very pleased with sound, and my another gear will be studio capture. USB 2.0 is absolutely OK. Roland using their own data transfer technology. And if not studio definitely octa - capture. It's a great recording technolgy. Usually I'm using my quad with sonar x2 producer, 10 -12 single tracks, no delay, no distortion, no freezing, the truth is, you need strong and fast PC.

It still say that they have a great box in the BR-1600, they just need to upgrade the hardware a bit, memory card rather than hard disk, some tweaks here and there, cut the price - and that would be killer
