What a fabulous song and what amazing lyrics. Oh boy, I'm so pleased I've finally managed to get this recorded - live from the dining room, simultaneous, internal mics.

Holly Johnson, who co-wrote the song, later reminisced: "I always felt like The Power Of Love was the record that would save me in this life. There is a biblical aspect to its spirituality and passion; the fact that love is the only thing that matters in the end."

Fantastic, superb performance and you really captured it well. Very good recording to compliment the top notch delivery. Well done.

This is a cracking version Haylie, always loved this song. I really like the way you have slightly changed the delivery of the verses, just a little more "hurried" than the original, it gives it a nice twist.

Heard a new version of this on the radio yesterday which has been done by Gabrielle Aplin (apparently...had to Google it!!) and reckon yours is just as good

Rev48 - I can't claim too much originality on - this Gabrielle Aplin first slowed it down before I made it a bit faster, although I like to think I've done my own thing! Here's her version if you want a looksee

Haylie I stand by my comments
I have heard this version and it is beautiful as well but I thought your phrasing and guitar work made yours more edgy and fresh
PS I'm always right LOL

Gotta say I like this too Haylie.
Simple recording & delivery which really shows your voice off at it's best.
I like the phrasing too.
