Hello everyone, thanks for checking this song out :)

I wrote this last night pretty much straight of the cuff, within an hour I had this version recorded. My vocals are stressed (too much shouting playing sunday football, we lost!) but I like to record new songs in this way, listen and polish. I think it takes me about a month for a new song to settle. I look forward to recording some form of EP in the near future. looking for orchestral session players to add depth, as well as trying to arrange the pieces for violins etc.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my initial concept here...

LYRICS:

Why are you so cold?
A ripple on the water
Circling the soul and coming right towards you
You bring the colours to my life
Nothing else matters
Define the moment I was right

Stumbling with grace to give a good impression
Moving out of phase to strictly learn a lesson
You light the colours of my life
Nothing else matters
Define the moment I was right
You know you really ought to care
Because nothing else matters...

Slowly moving out of touch

I guess you'll have your way
I will be a pest no more
Aside to say
You can't stop me singing
You steal the colour in my life
You'll paint a picture Black and White
You know you really ought to care
Because nothing else matters...

Slowly moving out of touch

Oh a great song Daniel, I agree with ORH - think the stumbling would work better syncopated but I get it, just an idea that hasn't settled yet. Look forward to hearing the EP.

Hello oldrottenhead and Haylie, thanks for the swift feeback! Haha I'm glad it grabbed your attention (the stumbing line) it is meant to, I have listen to it a few times so I know what's coming! I am hearing the sweetest string section start on the word grace, I love things like that, like getting to music to do what the words actualy mean, great fun.

bye for now :)

Hey Daniel , i like the song big time , but , did you you just do the stumbling line for effect , or because you heard something in your head that no one else will ever guess what you were thinking at the when you sang it , i suppose clever both ways , cus you got peoples attention , nice one

Thank you again for all the nice comments.

@facemask93 = It was deliberate. The exact amount of stumbling was ad-lib but the idea to do it was triggered as soon as i had the lyric ;)

I don't have a problem with the stumbling vocal, I think it's adds something unexpectedly good to the song.
As with your other songs that I have heard to date, this is first class, you seem to marry great vocal melodies with some really cool chord progressions to create instantly accessible listenable tunes.
