Oh yeah, like it. Great groove, great vocals, fabulous sound.

And what's this about the vocal toolbox? (reaches for the manual) I've always ignored that button!("I got vocals, don't need no toolbox, ma-an..." :D).

Are you telling me that I don't need to record 16 tracks of vocals every time?!!

(Actually, I quite enjoy that side of it...)

haha - yeah, I must admit to not liking the vocal toolbox, it can sound quite artificial - bit I think it worked pretty well in this instance. Actually you can use it to double the vocals to bolster a mix when the vox don't cut through.

Very interesting... I was joking when I said "reaches for the manual" - but I think I might have a fiddle with it. I did read it all when I first got the beast, but decided that I probably didn't need that area, or at least not enough to mess around with it. (I don't really know what to do with "loops" either!! :D)

Ah - I use loops all the time. Did you get a CD of drum loops with the BR1600? Miles better than a drum machine!

Yeah, it's in the box in the attic :D

I think I toyed with it, but all this stuff takes time to learn, and sometimes the music wants to come out before I can learn it. I've always assumed that drum loops were most useful if you were writing to them - most of the time I've already got the song and want the drum part I can hear in my head...

I wouldn't mind whacking up a loop and jamming along to it one day though (after all, that's occasionally how I wrote stuf in a band with a real drummer, not often though).

This track was done with the drum loops - they don't sound quite so mechanical as a drum machine. And they are dead easy to add in - takes about 5 minutes.
The Florida 2013 track was done with loops from garage band! I always struggle with drums - still looking for a great solution - haven't really found it yet!
