all done very quickly and with a lot of stress, took a million takes to record vox because the kids where making a racket. managed to get them to shut up for 5 minutes, ( i knew that gaffer tape would come in handy).

anyway when i get a less stressful environment to work in i might redo this one.

update: was a bit less stressful today, house to myself so redid vocals tweaked lyrics a tad.

Well her cup is all but empty
she bears a worldly weight
tomorrow comes too early
all her dreams will have to wait
she's looking through the window of a broken home
looking through the window she's a broken soul

all her thoughts a heavy burden
all her nerves are burnt and frayed
always finding deeper meaning
in everything he says
she's looking through the window of a broken home
looking through the window she's a broken soul
looking through the window standing all alone
she's looking through the window of a broken home
Well her cup is all but empty
she bears a worldly weight
tomorrow comes too early
all her dreams
looking through the window of a broken home

What a beautiful vocal and vocal melody. Works so well stripped down with just a dreamy guitar underlay (underlay underlay areeeebaaaa! as the mexican carpet fitter said, lol).

Haunting and absorbing. This one's a winner with me.

Hi Jim, gorgeous song. Love the guitar sound and vox top quality as always.................Willie

Awesome work, ORH!

What a great story, and so well told.

As for kids, I like kids. I like them well-done on one side and medium-rare on the other.

Nice! The dual strummy guitars sound almost like a 12-string. Is there a bit of phaser or chorus on them? They sound sort of swirly.
