Tone Bone Experiment

More an experiment than a real track. I wondered what type of sound you could get with a valve distortion pedal in front of a COSM amp emulation (using the COSM amp emulations in the BR1600). The 'amp' set up to be pretty clean (took all the effects off), so simulating a clean amp. I used the Tone Bone Hot British valve distortion, and the Music Man Luke Neck pickup - I think a lot of the character has come  through. Let me know what you think!

In my ears this sounds real good jamming track! The guitar tones sounds very bluesy. Awesome guitar licks all around! Like it!

I love it. I have plans to build a Hot box pedal. I have most of the parts I need from an old tube preamp I no longer use. I have attached the circuit diagram.

. I'm thinking this may be the way to go, I do really like the COSM sounds - but the miked up amps is always better (although its marginal, particularly in the thick of the mix). This is a compromise between the two - get a fatter sound - particularly for a solo sound.
I'll try out a few different settings and pedals and see what people think!

Sounds and tones are great - those COSM effects are very useful - you can change the sounds easily on this and there is such a lot of basic sounds to work from.
Love the playing on this - some great licks.
