Couple of days ago I discovered on Apple Music this Mexican dream-pop / show-gaze band, Mint Field and I've been enjoying their music since.

Journey kicking ass on a very unknown album from 1996 called "Trial By Fire"  and it featured the return of Steve Perry as vocalist

also I try to not keep a secret that Neal Schon is my favorite guitarist.  Steve Lukather just after.

Villiers and Gold at age 16 in the UK... a hit there I heard... this is quite good... just wondering if anyone remembers this?  I got looking into Andrew Gold more because of ODH latest cover that got me looking into "You're No Good" which I always loved Linda Ronstadt and found out Andrew Gold was a major contributor to on the music..
so that got me digging into his life and I came up with this...

Andrew Gold was an amazing talent. In addition to being a minor pop star in his own right, he was also a much in-demand studio player and songwriter. Hadn't heard of Villiers and Gold before, so this was something new to me, and it's pretty fab! (I like how it went in style from Stephen Stills to Lennon/Beatles). Will have to see if they have any more material out there.

I recommend his album 'The Fraternal Order of The All', if you haven't heard it before. He wrote, performed, and recorded it all, with tributes in a range of styles from the Beatles to the Byrds to the Doors to the Beach Boys - as well as some of his own upbeat pop style. Great stuff.
