got my guitar out again.

the seconds crawl
the minutes drag
the hours seem to take
and age to pass
as if time itself
has ground to a halt
as if time
has stood still

well i don't want to wish
my life away
i want to live it
for the day
and when she whispers
sweet nothings to me
there's nowhere else
that i'd rather be
but here...............in her arms
but here...............in her arms

and now at last
i'm where i want to be
but time is just a blur
and the day whizzes by
and when she whispers
sweet nothings to me
there's nowhere else
i'd rather be
but here...............in her arms
but here (in her arms)

Ah James, you continue to surprise me with your guitar.  8)

It brought a bit of Roxy Music to mind, with a slightly sinister musical feel that I wasn't expecting after reading your lyrics (ya olde softie), but I like it very much! Hella good production, too. Those drums are kicking!!

i did the drums a few weeks ago  (under the influence) and forgot all about them, then last weekend found them again, and imported them into my mbr. what i can remember is that the drums are midi.  but i reassigned them to a sampled drum kit then mastered them to wav, then threw lots of reverb and cant recall the name of the software but it emulates the sound of particular studios or environments.

on thursday i imported the drums to my mbr, got a bit tipsy again and  got stuck in a four chord loop  with my guitar ( i didnt loop the  guitars but i played the same four chords add nauseum till my wee saft fingurs bled) . then forgot all about it again. today i was trying to put words to two different songs and was getting nowhere fast, then i remembered this, and canabalised the two sets of lyrics together. and hey presto lottsa noise.

It sure wasn't the song I expected after reading the lyrics LOL!  This is great!  It hits me as somewhere between Pink Floyd and Moody Blues....   Great drum track!  Ahhhh.... the poor wee saft fingurs need to heal now don't they?  I bet a pint or a wee dram would help!  Geo

Thanks for listening!

Part of the charm of your posts is I never know what to expect. Having said that, I didn't expect this.

Wish I could sing like that.
