'Even Better than the Real Thing' - U2 Tribute

Got over-excited and did this last night  

Didn't want to do it exactly like the original, and probably couldn't anyway. So this is my own take on it. A lot slower & rougher / lo-fi than the original - i.e. dirty and scuzzy.

There's plenty of Telecaster running through a wah pedal, slide guitar, & heavy duty bass (played with a plectrum for a change). Recorded on the MBR with a bit of dicking around in Audacity on the intro.

My vox are running through the Vocal FX1 patch - delayed and distorted.

That's a really cool wah sound. Which wah pedal do you have? Did you combine it with some other effect to get that sound? Or is it just the amp model and delay?

With the wah and delay, this sounds more like U2 than U2's version, if that makes sense.

How did you manage to post the first official U2 Fest song before oldrottenhead? Maybe he was out mugging trick-or-treaters for their UNICEF money so he can buy a BR-80.
