I heard shamoozey do this one the other day on Alonetone and enjoyed listening to his version, it got me remembering that I first sang this as young boy soloist in the Choir for the Christmas carol concert, i recall being scared and thrilled at the same time doing it in front of an audience.......... it will always remind me of that innocent time before questioning anything and believing what i was told told only to find with age i had been told many lies or should i say stretched truths...............................

Ah Reg, my favourite hymn, written by the uncle of William Wilberforce (john Newton I think?) - an ex slaver, and you have done it proud, lovely rendition, I am constantly amazed by how versatile your voice is. Well done, really enjoyed it

Nice job. I honestly pick up a hint of Elvis in your voice. ;D
