Hi, I'm vigwig.  Everything I join asks for a nickname and when I signed up for email back in the days of Juno, my kids said, "Dad, now you can be vigwig!"  So I am using the nickname given to me by my brothers when I was a kid.  I bought  a Sony Acid Music Studio in about August of 2009 and started making music my way.  I am still developing my skills, but I am still limited by my debilities, namely I can't sing, I know very little about song construction, music theory and I can't play anything except my armpits (don't ask).  I have a twisted sense of humor and an ear for good music (good sounding music) and a knack of adding that little element that makes for outlandish musical juxtapositions: the vigwig genre.  My influences are all over the place and based in rock and roll.  I have over 4000 tunes that are mine, my collection.   All bought and paid for, including about 2200 45 rpm records, 100's of albums, maybe 100 cassettes and 100's of CD's. My last 45 was a record I knew only a a snippit of: I didn't know the name, the artist, the label or anything except that it was a Top 40 record circa 1957.  With the advent of the internet and online information I found it 50 years after beginning my search.  I am still keeping my eyes open for a few others.  I am 66 yrs old, married and have 5 kids, 8 grandkids and have lived in southeast Texas for the last 45 years, 39 in the same town.  Vic a.k.a. vigwig

it is never a dull listen!!!! I am also re-discovering my love of music and am pretty new to the site, and know next to nothing about recording and DAW. If it makes you happy then ignore everyone else and go for it!
