This is unlike me to post two songs in two days but this Time Traveler new mix and master just got to me and I'm excited about it. Rayon Vert is the internet prog. rock band that I'm a member of. My part in this song is co-writer/singer /lyricist. Gary Carcielo - guitars. Rob Grant - Bass. DrC - co-writer/keys/drums programming/mix production. This is as proggy as we've gotten to this point......maybe a little jazz fusion mixed in.....but hey what do I know I'm just the singer/lyricist, lol. I hope the 10 minutes holds your interest.....I think it will for you prog rock lovers. Oh, due to the length of the song I had to squeeze it down to 80kbps to get it to fit....the quality suffers  some but you'll get the basics of it.

Time Traveler

V1
I'm a time traveler
Looking to land my craft
In the vast expanse of darkness
As the future races past

I know not where I go,
But I know where I've been
I've escaped through Celestial ways
That I will never see again

Chr
I move on faster
Steel to a magnet
I struggle to change my course
I'm a bug to the light
Pulled by the force
On a pre-destined flight
I'm a time traveler.....

V2
I journey through the endless
Trying to find that place
As countless stars burn away
Onward at a furious pace

A passage through the slipstream
It's among the stars I sleep
A nightmare in a dream
It's among the stars I weep

Chr
I move on faster
Steel to a magnet
I struggle to change my course
I'm a bug to the light
Pulled by the force
On a pre-destined flight
I'm a time traveler.....

Bridge
Propelled at warp speed
In my straight jacket craft
I calculate my plight
On this unknown path

Is this all inside my mind?
Do I know it's real?
Could it be imagined?
In this galaxy of teal

Chr
I move on faster
Steel to a magnet
I struggle to change my course
I'm a bug to the light
Pulled by the force
On a pre-destined flight
I'm a time traveler.....

V4
I'm a time traveler
Looking to land my craft
In the vast expanse of darkness
As the future races past

But I control this journey
Not some unseen entity
I see a ray of hope
As I regain my sanity

Chr
I move on faster
Steel to a magnet
I struggle to change my course
I'm a bug to the light
Pulled by the force
On a pre-destined flight
I'm a time traveler.....

I'm a time traveler.....
I'm a time traveler.....
Until the end of time......

Wow Farrell, very impressive. It's a bit jazzy for me in places but it is a stunning performance and such a multi-layered piece of music it does hold you all the way through. All the performances are excellent, great musicianship all round, I particularly liked the bass playing myself, I love the way it wanders and plays melodies in the softer parts and then anchors the heavier parts. Everything else is really good, it must have taken a long time to arrange and put together.

Production is excellent as well, everything is crisp and clear, the drums in particular sound fabulous and really give this a great punchy feel.

Superb work all round!

Cheers,

Nigel

10 minutes 13 secs - no problem!  I can cope.

As you might gather I'm a bit of a prog person and this does it for me.  Masterful.  Loads of levels, loads of changes, loads of instrumentation, loads of ideas.  And well played.

Marvelous.

If it wasn't for a few obvious issues I'd suggest that the Verts and the Prophets should go on a joint tour of world domination.  There would probably only be 3 people turn up, but I bet they would enjoy it.   ;)

I promise I'll listen again.

Great production Farrell. This is a fine song. loved the groove. So well played! The guitars, flute and keys are super fine. I liked the transitions.
Man and machine are one. I hear the Beatles influence in here too. .

Brilliant groove! Super production, great playing and wow what a song. It's sweeping and then funky and then jazzy and it just flows.
Great solos and simply bags of interest.
Marvellous!

Oh and the drumming... the drumming just makes it.
