Not sure about you, Bosko,
Quote from: Bosko Schwartz on July 27, 2009, 08:43:17 AMI do think our guitar skills are vaguely similar.  I hope you don't think that's a huge insult. :-\

I take that as a compliment actually! Lol

Not sure about you, but I would never call myself a 'guitarist'. I don't ever think of myself in those terms, because I just don't think I'm good enough to justify that title. I prefer to see it that 'I just play guitar well enough to perform my songs'.

I suppose one way to look at it is that I've never been taught guitar, I've never practised scales or chord theory, and I've never agonized over tabs trying to nail a riff. Every time I pick a guitar up, it's to write or play on a song I've already written. I'm guessing it's the same for you... ?! And that doesn't make us bad guitarists, just a different type of musician.

We're the ones who can't go into a guitar shop and impress people with our chops and licks, but as you said on the other thread, they're not hearing us play in the context of a song arrangement, where (hopefully!) we show a different type of skill.

Agreed, agreed, and agreed.  Couldn't have said it better myself.  So, yes, we are as similar as I thought in the guitar dept.  You're still a lot better than me, though. ;D ;D ;D

Wow guys -

That listen really made my day.  It was clean and pure, with the guitar and vocals achieving perfection.  Beautiful collaboration!

Cheers,
