Sentimental pap anyone?  I have to admit I always had a soft spot for this David Coverdale song and I always thought that Nick would be able to sing it well, so I decided to knock up the backing.  I thought it would be quicker than trying to write something original.  The piano (Yamaha Motif XS7) was pretty much one take.  The cornet and other assorted brass was a regression back to my schooldays when I played in a brass band (rock and roll, eh?).

And I was right - Nick can sing it.  You might not get any comments by Nick for a while as I think his computer has died.  I don't think he will mind me posting this.

This is very immpressive guys , and your so right Chapperz , Nick certainly can sing , but then , you can tickle those ivory's very nicely , this is such a great cver , and i'm very taken with it , excellent

I must admit I do like some of those Coverdale ballads as well !

And you guys have made it justice indeed ! It takes a great voice to take on a song like this, but Nick sure delivers !!! And the arrangement sounds like its from (the) Lord ;)

great cover guys, chord structure is remarkably similar to the todd rundgren song "it wouldnt have made any difference".
anyway i digress, brilliant recording and performance.
