"Monkey on the beach" a Geir original

These lyrics have been waiting a long time to be used. Some weeks ago Osckilo challenged me to  "Record a song with a Uke about a monkey in a bikini on a beach..."

I started on a uke song in 7/4, but it never left the ground.

Today I decided it was time to test the looper feature on my BR800, and so I did ....

this is 14 tracks of madness i'll probably regret posting this and remix it at some point, but .... well .... here it is anyway .....

.... oh ... sh!t .... I forgot to use the uke .... oh well, it's got a classical guitar played on the 7th and 9th fret, so it's damned close anyway

and the camera-monkey gets a peek
of a  well hid passion frying in this band that drink martini

sand under his feet

 sand up to his knees
sand in her ......

monkey in the water
she has a swimsuit on

and the monkey on the beach
get a glimpse of a floating peach
the monkey diving down
not wanting to be found

water in her ear
sand in his eyes
the water makes her sich
sand on his .......

Monkey madness, trying to catch all the madness, what,s the drums? sound cool, some tasty guitar licks too.

the "drums" are just the back of the classical guitar, an egg-shaker in my hand while clapping my hands, a cowbell, and a tiny touch of the br800 drums. oh and some foot-stomping might have bled into the mix as well.

This is so effin' cool!

It almost sounds like Marc Bolan making a tropicana single - but it's pure Geir. We can never get too many monkey songs! 

Man, there's so much in here - downloading for further study.

Excellent use of the looper G , makes me think of a early Macca type song, very creative, and grows on you with every play, well done mate , love the reference to a Morris Mini ha ha

i couldn't get achance to listen to this last night cos there was too much going on around me as we had visitors over. listening this morning it sounds the same absolut madness and  lots happening on this , the mad norwegian genuis has created a monster, braw tell yer maw.
