BR-800, How to Record 2 Electric Guitars

It seems that although the BR-800 can record up to 4 inputs at a time, there isn't a configuration for 2 guitars (electric) at a time.  They really demonstrate that inputs 1 - 4 are for microphones.  Is it possible to plug an electric guitar in their too for recording with someone else?  Would you need to put something between the BR-800 and the guitar when using the top inputs?

Thanks.

You can use the mic inputs for electric guitars. It's not ideal but it works. However, both guitars will be using the same insert effects. There's no way to use different insert effects on each input unless you use simul mode. However, in simul mode, the mic input is limited to mic effects only. You can't use guitar effects on the mic input in simul mode. At least, I think that's how it works. Geir can tell you for sure because he's recorded multiple electric guitars simultaneously before.

64G is right ! So you have two options. Use GTR+Input4, then you have the guitareffects for the guitar input in (simul mode) and mic effects for input 4. If you're don't need distortion on the input4 guitar, the mic effects include both chorus, phaser, flanger and delay so you may get the sound you need, or you can use an external FX for that guitar. Or you could turn off the effect on that guitar and add it to that track on bouncing.
