Card won't initialize..

Hi, I just picked up a 1GB memory card and it won't initialize..  I go through the steps (its pretty straight forward) in the manual and I get a "Card Write Error" message.  Defective card?  Any other suggestions?  Thanks!

There are only cutain SD cards that have been proven to work with the Micro BR. Go to the home page of this site, Click onto the "Downloads" Link, then on the "About Memory Cards". you will download a list of proven SD card manufacturers and model numbers.

  Sorry to "revive" such an old thread...especially my very first post... but I have a Kodak 2Gig card, same problem. Popped it in my card reader (8 bucks at Walmart) , left click on the drive letter, reformat FAT (the BR apparently doesn't like FAT32) and it finally initialized. Hope this helps.

Remember that only 1 GB will be recognized and used by the MBR.

the 1 gig should work but will need to be reformatted as fat16-
do you have a card reader?
