Hey I'm back... again sorry for the lack of posts as of late. I'm back into the swing of things for the momment. Here's a live session that I recorded with a guitarist friend of mine in the new studio this weekend. We basically laid down the rhythm guitar and drums on one track (Mistakes and all) and then followed up with the lead guitars on a seperate track. Had a lot of fun with this... although this song has been a debauchary to most... I think we were able to do it some justice. For one session of beer drinking and gettin our mojo on... we decided to add some rasta spice to it. Anyhow hope you like... hang in there until the end... I had to knock the bit rate down since it was such a long track. Feel free to add if you like.

So I took out the old version and brought in the new. I tweeked the drums a bit... sounds brighter to me... Anyhow... Rich is in the process of throwing down some leads to this track. Thought it might be interesting to post up here and see if anyone else feels like giving it a shot. Feel free to add vox I would love for this to turn into an online jam.

Wow! I admire your bravery! There's some sh*t hot guitar work going on here, and I like the fresh-sounding twist you're put on the rhythm of the song. This is pretty monumental stuff. Very well done!!!!

Geir

Real great drumming here Tod, and some real nice guitarwork by Rich as well, that lead is awsome !!!! if I can get some time off I might give the vox a try ... no promise tho .. so if anyone beats me to it .. please do !!!

To quote Tenacious D - this is not the greatest song in the world, this is just a tribute.

What a blast, too.  Some great playing here, technical and natural.  Okay it sounds like it was recorded in a phone booth, but the pleasure in this comes through.

You've done the impossible - you've made an overexposed dinosaur sound fresh!  I love the Rasta swing you've given this oldie. Guitar and drums sound amazing. You need to get some Tortelvis style Dread Zeppelin singing on it...thank ya very much.

Ferryman_1957

Brilliant version, really fun and very well played and recorded. Drums sound superb!

Cheers,

Nick... LOL no phonebooths here... just my inability to get a decent sounding drum recording. I'm gettin close though... I will most likely have to end up using some sort of limit/gate on the drums to get a decent sound. This much better than what I have ended up with in the past IMO.

Rich is the true star on this one. His blemishes are much less frequent than mine. We are planning to make a go of it one more time this weekend. More Stairway to come. Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.

Geir... Go for it, I would love to hear how this turns out with some vox. You've definately got the skills for this type of song...
